UBC Chan Centre Wedding: Billy+Pam Celebrate!

Three years down the road, the tables have turned.  The once bridesmaid is now the one going down the aisle in white while a past bride has taken a supporting and very supportive role.  It’s been wonderful reconnecting with old clients, Jeff and Camy, now very good friends of ours, who stood by Pam and Billy on their wedding day.  It was also a treat to see future clients who will definitely grace this blog soon.  But what’s been really great was working with Pam and Billy who were so trusting and very generous to us in terms of creative control and time to do our thing.  I guess it helps that these two are starting their own love affair in wedding photography that makes them both ideal and intimidating clients at the same time.  Overall, it was a great experience being there to document their celebration and their commitment to a new life together.

The day started out at the bride’s home within Greater Vancouver area where the groom and his men tried to get past the lovely bridesmaids to claim his bride.  From unsavoury food to embarrassing games, the bridesmaids made sure that Billy will pay dearly for the right to marry Pam.  The tea ceremony immediately followed and we made our way to UBC for the ceremony.  Late summer light streamed through the tall glass windows lining the walls of the Chan Centre in UBC as Pam walked down the aisle towards Billy.  After the ceremony, the new husband and wife ecstatically ran down the aisle amidst paper planes flying in the air.  We spent a couple of hours in the surrounding area to do more portraits before we headed towards Kirin Restaurant for the reception.

Congratulations, Billy and Pam!  All the best in your new life together and we look forward to all the great things you do in your photography!
